Bastanis Speakers celebrated its 5 year annaversary at the 2008 RMAF in the mile high city of Denver Colorado. Imagine it was five years ago, at the very first RMAF, that Bastanis was awarded  "runner up "best sound of the show  by Stereophile Magazine.  Wow! Time fly's when your are having fun!

This year we showcased the top of the line Bastanis Apollo Speakers alongside the faboulous looking tube gear from the TRiode Co of Japan.

Once again feet were  a tapping  ... and the sound was outstanding!!

This years line-up consisted of the Raven One Turntable from TW Acustic, followed by Tri's "limited edition" Preamp and the show debut of their new CD player and Phono Amp. The Bastanis Apollo Speakers where powered by Tri's beautiful 300B  SET Monoblocks.

Our main digital source was Tri's new $2200 tube CD player, Tri spent 3 years developing this "cutting edge" device, and man oh man did they do their homework. This bad boy will blow your mind for the price, highly recommended!!! Also notice tucked in the left corner, on top of the power conditioner, was a  "sneak peak" of Empirical Audio's New $2500 Overdrive USB DAC with built in volume control. We servered up tastes of this sweet sounding digital device to those that where "in the know". Very promicing!!! 

While normal configuration of the Tri monoblocks is 20 wpc "parallel" single ended, because of the of the Apollo's 100db effeciency , we choose to remove one tube  for 9 watts of glorious 300B SET sound. (Nice feature)!

So the 5th anual Rocky Mountain Audiofest proved to be as brazen as the first, establishing itself as the primier audio show here in the United States. During  this same period Bastanis Speakers has also stood the test of time to remain the leader of "cutting edge" open baffle loudspeaker design.  What a great ride it's been being the distributor for Bastanis Speakers. I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and everyone who has helped make the Bastanis Speakers such a success here in the USA. I look foward to next 5 years and welcoming more members to the SET/Open Baffle Revolution.
